Hemamaliny is a founding member and Managing Director of THEIPCO PLT. Her primary focus is in the Malaysia office, but as the face of the company and with keen involvement in all aspects of the business, she is always at the forefront of client relationships across ASEAN.

Hemamaliny graduated in Law Degree from University of London. She then went on to get her qualifications as a Trademark Attorney in both Malaysia and Singapore.

Hemamaliny practices in the areas of registration of trademarks and general advisory work relating to the various forms of IP rights including trademarks, copyright, industrial design rights and patents. She also has experience in all areas of intellectual property transactional work including advising on and drafting of licensing agreements, research and development agreements, commercialization agreements, collaboration agreements, assignment and transfer of intellectual property, registration of franchise and liaising with the Franchise Development Division of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumerism. She serves the myriad needs of both local and foreign clients. Her role involves devising filing programs; bridging the gap between different jurisdictions; providing clients with tailored advice that aligns with the specific requirements of each region during prosecution stage.

Sashi Rao

Sashi is a qualified Trademark, Patent, Industrial design and Copyright agent with the Malaysian Intellectual Property Organisation (MyIPO) an agency of KPDNKK. Sashi has gained more than eighteen (18) years of experience including patent drafting experience for universities, research organisations and companies from various industries such as Panasonic, Daikin, and MIMOS.

Sashi started his carrier as a Design Engineer in Intel Corp (Penang), where he was involved in the IC Design Innovation Development Team, where he was exposed to inventions that leads to a patentable patent.

Sashi’s interest in the Intellectual Property field has lead him to join as a Patent Engineer with one of the leading IP firms in Malaysia, Patrick Mirandah & Co (Mirandah Law), where he able to work & liaise with foreign affiliates agents such as Interdigital, Nokia, P&G, General Electric Company, Thomson Licensing, Qualcomm, Bayer, Finnegan, Fish & Richardson, Fitzpatrick, Ropes & Gray, Nakamura, Sugimura, SKIP, SATO, Jones Day, Burns, Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton and so forth.

Later Sashi stretched his career by accepting a role as a Manager in a well know IP firms in Malaysia, Pintas IP Group, where with his extensive experience in the preparation, drafting and prosecution of patent applications has lead the department through managing and assigning task for junior and senior executives in Patent Department.  In addition, Sashi was also appointed as a Senior Consultant & Head of Business Development for GIP Asian (subsidiary of GIP Japan-PINTAS IP) & IPHALL. Thereafter, NBS Intellectual as Head of Patent Dept.

His well-developed public speaking skills and proven strong customer service skills has lead him to become the go-to expert for providing consultation for Trademark, Patent, Industrial design and Copyright for many clients. 

Currently, he is a Senior Associate at THEIPCO (The IP Company) looking into all Intellectual Property Matters, as well as Head Of Business Development.

Tasya leads a team that is committed to providing top-tier support to our attorneys, paralegals, and clients. Through their leadership, the administrative department helps to foster a productive, organized, and client-centric environment.

She is responsible for developing and executing strategies that attract, retain, and nurture top talent in the highly specialized field of intellectual property law. By fostering a culture of engagement, She ensures that the firm’s team is equipped and empowered to deliver the best legal services to our clients.

In addition to HR responsibilities, She oversees the firm’s accounting functions, ensuring that financial practices are sound, transparent, and in compliance with industry regulations. From budgeting and forecasting to payroll, tax filings, and financial reporting, she plays a key role in maintaining the firm’s financial health and supporting its strategic objectives
